It only links you up with people who live within about 10 miles from where you do, so not good for widely spread networks of friends (most of my closest friends live on a different continent!) but this is their way to stop free riders. It is a simpler, softer, alternative to a full blown decentralised scoring system such as altruistic economics. I think it's got great potential!
I beleive we can someday live in a world without money, actually if anyone really found out that money is not real but just a ruse that we have convinced us of... what would people do. lol I try to live my life without any thought of money. I go to work and get wht groceries I need and other necessities, I eat and sleep and really try to have s little conscienceness of money as possible.
All the world could live in this form, the only problem is the concepts and understandings which cause greed, indulgence, selfishness, self-preservation, and appetites. If I understand I only need tht which is necessary and take nothing more, then there would be enough for all. I work with my hands as a service to others and for the enjoyment and satisfaction. My possessions are shared or iven to others in need. I do what is right because it is right and good to do so. My only true material possesion is my computer yet even that I could give to someone if there was access to another I could use.
Of course none of those thing is about me, it is hoping I can live as if there was a different world around me so that if I have the opportunity I could live as one of many who seek after different and richer way of life not of consumption but of sharing and all having enough of what they need for the good of all.
