In order to create a more "altruistic world", we need to redefine the word “stranger” and fade the boundaries between “we” and “they” or "me" and "others".

I'm thinking "action" here...I think that philosophizing is great yet what's needed is physical movement. SO, I would like to create some sort of "campaign" based on this theme...

I'm actually thinking of making flyers and putting them in people's mailboxes in my neighborhood...

I don't have any experience with such things...so if anyone of you can "guide me" or offer some advice...I would really appreciate that! :)

Yes, this is true, we need to do something. I am new at this too. I have been thinkng about this for a while but finally i have decided to do something. I think flyers would be great. What sort of message or ideas do you have?

Well...last year, I made over a 100 "flower cards" - as I have named them. I got a bunch of those "textile" flowers, broke them apart and remade my own funky flowers which I glued to paper...inside each card, I wrote a positive message and I gave them to each customer at my old student job at this store. People loved it! I got so many hugs and warm smiles...and got into so many neat discussions! It's crazy how something SO simple can unite people! Also, because I created an email address just for that (which I included on each card)...months after, I received an email all the way from Australia! Someone took it all the way there...and gave it to someone! I was like WOAH! SO...I know it doesn't take a lot...the problem is that most of the time, I feel lonely too to continue...as...everyone that I know...although they are nice and kind people are "too busy with themselves and their rat race" to devote some time to things like that...They all thought it's nice and cute...but that's all (actually, there were those who did offer to help out in the future!).

When it comes to this "we're not strangers" idea ...Well, I'm still brainstorming...but...I think that creating some written word and passing it around is a good idea...and maybe creating an email address/blog/website (I have no idea how to make websites though lol!)...so that people can respond...:)...and then...make it grow...
